The Jolliboys Story
This is a true account of three friends, the jolliboys, who took six months out of their lives to travel round all thirteen countries in South America and their attempt to make an online documentary following their adventures.
This website documents the incredible challenge they undertook off the beaten track, the people they encountered and most importantly the personal emotional journey they each went through.
Starting in Venezuela with a final destination of Colombia they travelled mainly overland to everywhere on the continent, visiting places so remote that they don't exist on any maps.
They witnessed all the natural beauty of South America from Angel Falls to Easter Island and Macchu Picchu, experienced the Rio Carnival and the wildlife of the Galapagos Islands.
Along the way they found themselves in many dangerous situations, becoming part of an illegal people-smuggling operation in unchartered land, were held at knife point by a gang of bandits, got mistaken for Americans in an anti-George Bush riot in Montevideo and struggled to fight their way through stones and tear gas in a country on the brink of civil war.
Through all this their friendship was tested to the absolute limits and the trio struggled to keep their promise to each other never to go their separate ways and never give up on their quest.
